Alberta Apparel Independent Sales Consultant Wanted within Alberta.

Are you passionate about selling? Buying local? Do you have a list of retail stores already in your network? Perhaps this is the right fit for you and Alberta Apparel. We are looking for someone to manage our 15+ retailers, grow this number, and represent our brand in Alberta. We are based out of Calgary, AB and carry a wide variety of Made in Canada clothing that represents Alberta in some way shape or form. Although it is higher-end casual wear, we are currently carried in ski stores, tourist locations, breweries, clothing and home stores, and even fishing stores. In this role, we are offering the complete portfolio of Alberta Apparel to sell, manage and handle relationships with wholesalers. There are dozens of possible retailers out there waiting to be uncovered.

About Us: A 2 year company that has strict guidelines on buying only Made in Canada apparel, shipping it into the province, and finishing the product here (embroidery, silkscreen etc). What this does is keep more of the money we spend on other locally- owned and operated companies. The idea is that less of the money leaves the province, and more stays here to be invested and spent on other local businesses. With this strategy, we are closer to the social, environmental and economic impact of our company and products.

We hire only Albertans for jobs such as photography, design, graphics, lookbooks, sales etc. Our name says one thing, and internally our company does the same – we truly are Albertan through and through. The ethos of our company revolves around supporting, promoting and education around Made in Canada.

What we’re looking for – a rep who is able to thrive and willing to learn from any mistakes made. Their high energy level matches their ambition for financial success and supporting local. They have excellent written and verbal communication skills with both our clients and our team. They are able to offer feedback on product, marketing tools, and social media.. They understand the value of locally-made products and the importance of supporting community.

What We Offer: 12% Commission on new sales, and residual reorder commissions on previous sales at 10%. Corporate support includes marketing materials, social media, website, lookbook etc.

Position Duties: Make weekly calls and visits to retail opportunities across the territory. Maintain connections with existing stores and establish new connections with prospective stores. - Be available and responsive to retail partners request, inquiries, and feedback and communicate this to the Alberta Apparel team.

Position Deliverables: Ensure that current stores always have a fresh stock of Alberta Apparel. Get feedback from retailers on the brand, their customers feedback, what's selling, what isn't selling and trends.

Position Requirements:
- Sales experience is actually NOT preferred as we’d like to hire someone new and coachable.
- Computer competency is a must using email, spreadsheets, typing, using a Customer Relationship Management system.
- Driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- College degree preferred but not required.
