Sego Ski Co. – is a ski manufacturer & brand based in Victor, Idaho. The 2018/2019 ski line consists of
21 ski models. The company also operates a beer and wine bar at our downtown Victor location as well
as full-service tune & demo shop out of the factory. The company will be selling direct to consumer as
well as focusing on expanding our wholesale dealer footprint for the 2018/19 winter.

The fifth season for Sego Ski Co. will consist of balancing ski production, local outreach/sales and further
establishing a dealer footprint across the USA, Canada and Europe. Initially, your time at Sego will include
learning about Sego Ski Co. with a focus on lead generation and outreach. Throughout the winter
season, opening new accounts by developing genuine relationships with key shops/buyers will be your
primary goal.

This is an external sales representative position.

Distilled macro requirements
• A capable mind willing to interact with customers; and identify opportunities for Sego Ski Co.
• A passion for the snow sports industry
• Willingness to work outside core job description
• Knowledge of BC & AB snow sports industry
• Comfortable making phone calls
• Closing wholesale sales
• Willingness to travel
• Ability to house and travel with 20+ pair demo fleet
• Work with Sego HQ to develop a system to store flat skis in Canada to service wholesale and
direct customers

Job Purpose:

• Manage and develop dealer network for your territory
• Dealer interaction will consist of remote, in-person visits, trade show participation, and
demo day assistance
• Direct customer interaction
• Pre and post customer purchase assistance
• Book SIA/BCSRA/ASRA meetings
• Set up product testing for dealers – ski shipment, demo day appointment, and one on one skiing
• Develop Sego’s presence and sales in British Columbia & Alberta

THE ROLE

THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop territory and customer strategies to drive growth within outdoor, active and sportswear channels of distribution.
- Prepare, plan and deliver persuasive sales and product presentations.
- Manage in-store positioning of product and POS (point of sale) materials to drive strong brand performance.
- Develop and execute marketing events to strategically drive business, in collaboration with customer and Marketing teams.
- Plan and analyse business and territory to optimize sell-in, sell-thru and profitability.
- Administrate all aspects of order management.
- Build, develop, and maintain business relationships with all key customers / majors accounts as well as with the head office management team.

THE PROFILE
- Minimum 5-10 years sales experience in retail and/or wholesale – buying experience a plus.
- Strong sales acumen.
- Excellence in consumer focused service skills.
- A consistent track record of exceeding goals and meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional communication & organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of the female consumer within the outdoor, fashion, active and sportswear channels.
- Strong understanding of buy-sell cycle (prospect, plan, sell, and service).
- Strong computer skills with extensive knowledge with Excel.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to spend time on the road, especially during peak season and booking periods.
